Joanna Briand

Joanna Briand joined Exbo Group in 2022 and leads the Finance Transformation team. Joanna and her team oversee new client engagements across diverse sectors including SaaS, HealthTech, and direct-to-consumer industries. She specializes in supporting growth-stage businesses that engage with Exbo by conducting comprehensive analyses and implementing solutions to optimize financial statements, operations, and processes, laying a robust foundation for future growth.

Before leading Finance Transformation, she was a member of Exbo's Transaction Services team. She supported buy-side private equity and venture capital clients through the full lifecycle of the acquisition process. During her time on the team, she worked on multiple deals, including Aquiline Technology Growth's investment in Helcim—a payment facilitator based in Alberta, Calgary—and Fullsteam's investment in VineSpring, an e-commerce platform built for breweries and wineries.

Prior to Exbo, Joanna worked as a Senior Associate at KPMG where she provided compliance services to Asset Management, with a client base consisting of hedge and private equity funds. She gained experience examining financial statements and fund trade information to verify the treatment of income earned by funds.

For her undergraduate degree, she attended the University of Richmond and received a BS in Business Administration. She received her CPA in 2021 from New York State. Outside of work, Joanna enjoys playing golf, tennis, skiing, reading, watching Survivor, and rooting for the New York Mets and Giants.
